Uganda's Parliament Speaker Warns MPs on Etiquette During International Conference

Uganda's Parliament Speaker Rebecca Kadaga has issued a stern warning to MPs ahead of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference, scheduled to take place between September 22-29, 2019.

The conference is expected to attract over 1,000 delegates from across the world, and Speaker Kadaga has urged legislators to maintain their 'best behaviour' throughout the event.

She specifically emphasized the importance of observing etiquette during meals, advising MPs to 'load their plates wisely' and 'not overload'.

Speaker Kadaga also cautioned against rushing while eating, even when hungry, saying,

“While eating, even when you are hungry, do not rush,”

she said.
