As the Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference (CPC) approaches, Ugandan MPs have been issued a stern warning to observe etiquette and respect the official dress code.
The conference, which will take place between 22-29 September in Kampala, is expected to attract over 1,000 delegates from across the world.
Speaker Rebecca Kadaga has urged legislators to be on their best behaviour, warning them against indulging with delegates and to respect the official dress code.
Ms Kadaga also provided guidance on how to behave in the canteen, advising MPs to load their plates moderately and not to mix dessert and meat or matooke and soup.
She also cautioned against excessive drinking, warning MPs and parliamentary staff to avoid the smell of alcohol in the morning.
Ms Kadaga's guidance comes ahead of the conference, which is expected to be a significant event for Uganda's parliament.
