On Saturday, Bandari FC secured a crucial 2-0 win over Tunisia's US Ben Guerdane in the CAF Confederation Cup first round clash at the Kasarani Stadium, gaining a first-leg advantage.

The Tunisians were dealt a blow in the second half, with Yema Mwana and Hassan Abdallah scoring in a five-minute spell to put the Kenyans in control ahead of the return leg in two weeks.

Despite starting the game at a high pace, Bandari FC relaxed in the tenth minute, with only one first-half shot on target coming from Abdallah Hassan after a nice cross by Cliff Kasuti on the 20th minute.

Benard Mwalala's side returned from the tunnel with renewed energy, introducing speedy wingers to ignite their striking force. Shaban Kenga replaced Cliff Kasuti, while Benjamin Mosha came in for Danson Namasaka.

Bandari FC had to wait until the 70th minute for the breakthrough, when Hassan delivered a well-composed corner that met Congolese Mwana, who scored without hesitation.

Five minutes later, it was Abdallah's turn to give Bandari FC their second and winning goal from William Wadri's corner.

Despite introducing Wycliff Ochomo in Mosha's place, no more goals were witnessed.
