Manchester City's title hopes took a hit on Saturday as they suffered their first Premier League defeat since January, losing 3-2 to Norwich City at Carrow Road.
The English champions, who had a perfect record from their first five games, fell five points behind European champions Liverpool in the title race.
City's decision not to strengthen at centre-back over the summer despite former captain Vincent Kompany's departure could cost them the title, especially with Aymeric Laporte sidelined by a serious knee injury until at least January.
Manager Pep Guardiola fielded his only two fit centre-backs, John Stones and Nicolas Otamendi, but they struggled to cope with Norwich's attack, which was led by Teemu Pukki.
Guardiola's decision to rest Kevin de Bruyne will also be questioned as the visitors started slowly and were punished by a Norwich side that had been ravaged by injuries.
Despite being down 2-0, City managed to reduce the arrears through Sergio Aguero's goal just before half-time, but they were unable to mount a comeback.
Norwich's victory was a remarkable upset, and it will be interesting to see how City respond to this defeat.
