Published on September 14, 2019, Embakasi East Member of Parliament Paul Ongili, alias Babu Owino, has spoken out in defence of women from the Kikuyu community.
The vocal politician's comments come amid a wave of backlash following the mysterious murder of billionaire Tob Cohen.
Noting that not all Kikuyu women are bad, Babu Owino said some are angels.
He made the remarks in a Facebook post, stating, "Not all Kikuyu women are bad as people are putting it, some are angels,"
Babu Owino's comments are a departure from his previous stance on Kikuyu women, which sparked controversy in 2018.
At the time, he faced criticism for saying he would not divorce his Kikuyu wife for being uncircumcised.
However, he maintained that he was good in bed and his wife was getting satisfied despite being uncircumcised.
Babu Owino is married to Frida Muthoni and they have two children, a son, and a daughter.
