On September 11, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) issued a warrant of arrest for Jane Mugo, a private detective, but it has since been lifted.

Nairobi Principal Magistrate Francis Andayi ordered Mugo to appear in court on September 18 to take plea on charges of robbery with violence, impersonation, and threatening to kill.

Mugo, through her lawyer, denied any wrongdoing, stating that she had never been summoned to any police station or informed of any criminal case against her.

She expressed willingness to appear in court, revealing that she had been admitted to hospital.

According to Mugo, the warrant for her arrest was issued because of a case she is working on, which allegedly revealed corruption among top security officials in the Kenyan Government.

She was not forthcoming with details of the alleged case.
