Released in 2019, Netflix's true crime series 'Unbelievable' captivated audiences with its gripping portrayal of a real-life rape investigation. Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning article 'An Unbelievable Story of Rape' by ProPublica and the 'This American Life' radio episode 'Anatomy of Doubt,' the show's eight episodes told the entire true story of multiple sexual assaults and their aftermath.

Unfortunately, fans of the show will not be able to look forward to a second season. According to a Netflix representative, the show is a 'limited series' and will not be continued due to its true and complete nature.

Despite the lack of a second season, 'Unbelievable' has left a lasting impact on its viewers. As executive producer Susannah Grant notes, the show 'tells the story of a rape investigation gone horribly wrong and then a rape investigation gone brilliantly right.'

For those craving more true crime content, there are other excellent shows available to watch online, including 'Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile' and 'Mindhunter.' Alternatively, readers can turn to page-turning true crime books like 'Devil in the White City' or Truman Capote's 'In Cold Blood.'
