Published on September 14, 2019
Former Gatundu South MP Patrick Muiruri has revealed that his friend, the late Tob Cohen, had a tumultuous marriage with his wife, Sarah Wairimu Kamotho.
According to Muiruri, Cohen had told him that he was afraid of his life and had even warned his wife that if anything happened to him, she would be the prime suspect.
Muiruri shared that he had spoken to Cohen on the day he went missing and that Cohen had confided in him about his fears.
"He told me that if he was to be killed or his body was to be found, his wife would be the main suspect," Muiruri said.
Muiruri also revealed that Cohen had told him that his wife had a history of being difficult and that she had even caused a scene at their son's wedding.
"He told me that his wife had snatched the microphone from him during the wedding and that she had caused a scene," Muiruri said.
It is worth noting that Cohen's wife, Sarah Wairimu Kamotho, has been arrested and charged with his murder.
Police investigations have revealed that Cohen's body was found in a water tank at his home in Nairobi.
Wairimu has denied any involvement in Cohen's murder and has claimed that she was being framed.
However, Muiruri's revelations have shed new light on the tumultuous marriage between Cohen and his wife.
It is clear that Cohen was afraid of his life and that he had warned his wife that she would be the prime suspect if anything happened to him.
As the investigation into Cohen's murder continues, it remains to be seen whether Wairimu will be charged with his murder.
