On September 14, 2019, a bizarre incident unfolded in Morogoro, Tanzania, leaving residents in shock. An elderly woman, whose identity remains unknown, approached a married man at his vegetable stall, pretending to be a customer.
The man, identified as Mwanakwetu, was with his wife at the stall when the woman arrived. She began professing her love for him, claiming she had been to his stall several times before but was too afraid to confess her feelings.
According to Mwanakwetu, the woman said she needed alcohol to gain confidence to express her love for him. He was taken aback by her words, especially since she said them in front of his wife.
Out of anger and frustration, Mwanakwetu told the woman that her confession was impossible and that it would never happen. It was at this point that she collapsed.
While bystanders took the woman to the hospital, Mwanakwetu's wife was left wondering how they knew each other. An old man, Abdul Murisho, who repairs bicycles next to Mwanakwetu's stall, intervened and assured her that Mwanakwetu was not having an affair with the collapsed woman.
