Published on September 13, 2019, D'Andra Simmons, a star of The Real Housewives of Dallas, has spoken candidly about her facelift and the challenges she faced during recovery.

According to Simmons, she underwent the surgery alone at a beach house in California and struggled with depression. She revealed that she gained approximately 25 pounds during this period.

Simmons shared her experience with The Feast, stating, "Nobody tells you that you get depressed." She explained that her husband had to leave her three days after the surgery to attend a National Geographic event, leaving her isolated in the beach house for a month.

During her recovery, Simmons developed a new daily habit of visiting her favorite donut shop, Sidecar Donuts in Costa Mesa, California. This indulgence contributed to her weight gain, with Simmons admitting to consuming cake donuts daily.

Despite feeling depressed, Simmons was pleased with the results of her surgery, stating, "My skin was in really great condition so I had good results." However, she acknowledged that the weight gain made it harder for her to lose the weight at 50 years old.
