Published on September 13, 2019, singer Esther Akothee, alias Akothee, has engaged in talks with Rachel Chebet, the wife of Deputy President William Ruto.

The meeting, which took place on Friday, September 13, focused on economic empowerment, a cause close to Akothee's heart.

Akothee, a mother of five, has been involved in various community projects through initiatives she has launched to give back to the less fortunate.

She has also kick-started online funds drives to support needy families, including the elderly, women, and children.

On Monday, March 18, Akothee initiated a fund drive through her social media platforms, stating, "We can't ignore the fact that we always have needy families around us, even in your village, especially the elderly, women and children, so we can't just pass them like that."

Recently, Akothee paid a courtesy call to Rachel Ruto, expressing her gratitude and sharing her journey with her. She posted, "I paid courtesy call to Mama Rachel Ruto today. It was such an honor to share my journey with you today. From the bottom of my heart, be blessed."
