On September 13, 2019, the body of Dutch billionaire Tob Cohen was discovered buried in his home in Nairobi, Kenya, over 40 days after he was reported missing.

According to Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti, the body was found inside a septic tank in Cohen's compound at Kitisuru, Spring Valley Road.

Cohen, a 71-year-old tours and travel magnate, had been living in Kenya since 1987 and was reportedly embroiled in a bitter divorce case with his estranged wife, Sarah Wairimu Cohen.

Wairimu was arrested on August 28 and interrogated at the DCI headquarters, and was later arraigned in court to face murder charges, with the court ordering a mental assessment.

Wairimu is the prime suspect in the case, and the court papers revealed that she had allegedly assaulted Cohen a week before he went missing, causing him to seriously injure his forehead.
