On September 13, 2019, the body of Dutch tycoon Tob Cohen was found at his home in Spring Valley, Nairobi, in a gruesome murder that shocked investigators.

Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti described the crime scene as 'gruesome', with Cohen's hands and neck bound before he was murdered.

According to Kinoti, the assassins took their time in plotting the murder, and the body was wrapped in many layers of clothing, revealing signs of torture before his murder.

When asked to elaborate on what he meant by 'gruesome', Kinoti said, 'When I say it was gruesome, I will give you an opportunity to see for yourself but after the prosecutions, we will share the whole story.'

Kinoti's comments came after Cohen's body was discovered at his home at Farasi Lane in Spring Valley, and he emphasized that 'there is no perfect crime that can go undetected.'

He added, 'We always know as investigators that there is no perfect crime. A spec to a keen detective will always be spotted. That spec which we actually detect at the scene of the crime, it opened for us the whole world.'
