On July 19, 2019, Dutch tycoon and avid golfer Tob Cohen vanished, sparking a desperate search. His body was eventually found in a septic tank at his home in Kitisuru, Kenya.
Cohen, 69, was embroiled in a bitter divorce case with his Kenyan wife, Sarah Wairimu, over property worth hundreds of millions of shillings.
His sister had previously expressed concerns about Wairimu's behavior, stating that Cohen had accused her of being violent in their daily conversations.
“I’m asking for help. Let him appear. Where is my brother? It doesn’t add up. It’s not possible,” she said in a video.
Wairimu's lawyer had previously defended her, stating, “There is no body!” However, Cohen's sister alleged that Wairimu had pushed him off a huge terrace and attacked him with a chair.
Cohen was a former CEO of Philips Electronics East Africa and had been reported missing in July. His wife, Sarah Wairimu, is being held on suspicion of being involved in his disappearance and potential murder.
