Published on September 13, 2019, a father's day out with his children at Mama Rocks in Nairobi's Argwings Kodhek branch turned out to be an unexpected experience.

His 11-year-old daughter had suggested going to Mama Rocks for lunch, and the father was surprised to find out that it was also a bar where people were drinking while eating burgers.

As they sat at a high table, the father's five-year-old son pointed at a man drinking a beer and asked if he could have one too. The father, trying to set a good example, told his son that beer tastes terrible and gave him a dirty look to stop the whining.

However, the father couldn't help but think that Mama Rocks was not a suitable place for children, as it sold alcohol and might tempt them to want a cold beer.

Mama Rocks may sell decent burgers, but it's also a cool bar where people can have a quick beer after their meal. But, as the father learned, it's not a place to take children.
