Beauty Ogere Siasia, the 80-year-old mother of Nigeria's former national coach Samson Siasia, has been missing for two months after her abduction on July 15 in Odoni, Sagbama area, Bayelsa State, southern Nigeria.

According to reports, Siasia's mother was initially kidnapped in November 2015 but was released 12 days later after a ransom was paid.

However, her latest abduction has brought distress to the family as they are unable to raise the $230,000 ransom demanded by the kidnappers.

Her younger brother, Dennis Siasia, expressed concern about her health, saying that she has now spent more than seven weeks in captivity.

Meanwhile, the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (Swan) has appealed for her release, with the chairman in Bayelsa, Alambo Datonye, saying that 'this should not happen to anyone of her age and mother of the Coach who brought joy to millions of Nigerians.'

Samson Siasia, who was recently banned from football for life by FIFA, denies the allegations and has filed an appeal against the ban.
