As the 2022 polls approach, the Wiper Democratic Party has made significant inroads in Nyeri county, thanks in part to the recent recruitment of prominent real estate tycoon James Nderitu, also known as Saitoti, who has expressed his intention to popularize the party's presidential bid led by Kalonzo Musyoka.
On September 13, 2019, Saitoti, who has been identified as the Wiper Nyeri county chairman, met with Kalonzo Musyoka at his Nairobi office, marking a significant development for the party in the region.
Speaking in Nyeri, Saitoti emphasized his commitment to opening a Wiper party office in the area and promoting Kalonzo's presidential bid due to his extensive experience in government and unblemished public record.
Following the meeting, Saitoti shared a photo with Kalonzo on social media, further solidifying his ties with the party.
