Residents of Embu's Matendeni area are in shock after a man's joyful karamu celebrations following his lover's alleged announcement of pregnancy.
According to eyewitnesses, the man had been demanding a child from his lover, but she had not been able to conceive.
However, in a surprising turn of events, the woman allegedly told the man that she was pregnant with his child, prompting him to organize a karamu to celebrate the news.
"Jamani! Mungu ni maajabu. Yaani demu nilyempata juzi ananiambia amepata mimba. Hallelujah Mungu asifiwe," the man was quoted as saying.
He also told his friends that he would marry his lover as soon as she gave birth, and invited them to join in the celebrations.
However, one of his friends advised him to verify the pregnancy before making any further plans.
