Robert Mugabe, Zimbabwe's founding father, passed away in Singapore last week, but his body was returned home this week, sparking a wave of visitors to his Harare residence.

Located in the affluent Borrowdale suburb, the massive property is said to be worth more than $10 billion and boasts 25 bedrooms, almost as many bathrooms, and a Yugoslavian-built design completed in 2003 by Energoproject.

As Zimbabweans and fellow Africans pay their respects, photos of the lavish mansion have surfaced, revealing a life of luxury that contrasts sharply with the poverty faced by many of his countrymen.

The property, reportedly three times larger than Zimbabwe State House, the official residence of the president, has been shrouded in secrecy, with few good pictures available during Mugabe's lifetime.

However, the recent influx of visitors has provided a glimpse into the former president's opulent lifestyle, including a luxury apartment in Hong Kong, which he sold earlier this year for approximately $4.3 million.

Check out the photos of Mugabe's massive 25-bedroom mansion.
