On September 13, 2019, a remarkable story of honesty and integrity unfolded at the Nice Digital City Hotel in Ngurubani Town, Mwea Constituency.

A 23-year-old waitress, Eva Karendi, discovered a suspicious-looking bag at her workplace, which contained a substantial amount of money.

According to Eva, she called her colleague to investigate further, and together they found Sh 60,043 inside the bag.

Contrary to what most people might do in her situation, Eva decided to track down the owner of the bag, demonstrating exceptional character and a strong sense of responsibility.

After Eva called the hotel to inquire about a lost bag, the Director, Charles Njiru, was able to identify the owner as Esther Mbaabu.

Esther explained that she had accidentally dropped the bag and didn't realize it was missing until after she had left the hotel.

She confirmed that the bag contained Sh60,000 and a few coins, and was relieved to have her purse and money back.

Charles Njiru praised Eva's good work, stating, 'I have already promoted the girl for her good work.'
