Dr. Pimple Popper's Skincare Routine ¶
Published on September 12, 2019, Dr. Pimple Popper, a dermatological superstar and TLC host, shared her skincare routine to keep her skin in prime condition.
Dr. Pimple Popper, whose real name is Sandra Lee, MD, is not a fan of using many skincare products. She prefers a simple routine that suits her dry skin type. In a video from Harper's Bazaar, she revealed her nighttime skincare routine, which includes using her own SLMD Cleansing Wipes, a salicylic acid cleanser, a face cleanser, and a hyaluronic acid serum.
She also uses Cerave healing ointments around her lips and eyes and applies a benzoyl peroxide spot treatment to destroy acne-causing bacteria. However, she warns against attempting to pop pimples at home, especially with a syringe, as it can lead to more irritation and inflammation.
Dr. Pimple Popper advises her viewers to wait until a blackhead is close to the surface before attempting to extract it. She recommends gently nicking the pimple when it's ready, rather than squeezing it too early, which can cause it to become bigger and redder.
Some of the products she recommends include:
- SLMD Cleansing Wipes
- Salicylic acid cleanser
- Face cleanser
- Hyaluronic acid serum
- Cerave healing ointments
- Benzoyl peroxide spot treatment
