On September 11, 2019, a shocking discovery was made in Tayari Estate when the body of Sandra Wangari, a nurse at Molo Level Four Hospital, was found in her house.

Wangari had been missing for days, prompting her colleagues to visit her house and find her door locked from inside. Despite calling out to her, there was no response, and upon entering the house, they found her dead.

According to Joseph Ouma, the hospital administrator, Wangari had not reported to work since Monday without notice, and her colleagues were concerned. 'Wangari had not reported to work since Monday without notice and this got us concerned. We sent her colleagues who knew her place to establish her whereabouts yesterday after which we received the shocking news,' Ouma said.

Postmortem results will help establish the cause of her death, as there were no physical injuries or drugs found at the scene. Wangari's family members, who live in Nairobi, were informed of the matter and positively identified her body.

Area Chief Lucy Waiganjo confirmed the incident, stating that the body was taken to Molo Level Four Hospital mortuary pending investigations. 'We hope to establish the cause of her death once the postmortem is done today,' Waiganjo said.

Wangari's neighbours described her as a private person who rarely spoke to others. 'She was a humble lady and loved spending time alone in her house. She hardly spoke to other people after coming back to work. We only knew she was working at the hospital,' said Faith Wairimu, a neighbour.
