On September 12, 2019, a tragic incident shook the quiet streets of Miti Moja Estate in Eldoret town. A female police officer, attached to Naiberi Police Station in Ainabkoi Sub County, was found murdered at her rented home.

According to Uasin Gishu police commander Johnston Ipara, the officer had suffered several stab wounds on her head and body. While police suspect that her estranged lover might be responsible for the crime, they are still investigating and following crucial leads to identify the killers and their motive.

As the investigation unfolds, the community is left to grapple with the senseless violence that has claimed the life of one of their own. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers that law enforcement officers face in their line of duty.
