Just Salad Goes Beyond Beef ¶
As of September 12, 2019, Just Salad, a fast-casual chain with locations in the New York City area, Chicago, Philadelphia, Florida, and North Carolina, has eliminated all beef from its menu and replaced it with Beyond Meat.
The new menu features Beyond Meatballs, which can be added to salads, wraps, or warm bowls. Each four-meatball serving contains 16 grams of protein.
The Beyond Meatballs will also be a key component of Just Salad's Keto Zoodle Bowl, a vegetarian and keto-friendly dish made with zucchini noodles, grape tomatoes, roasted balsamic mushrooms, and shaved parmesan.
According to Janani Lee, Chief Sustainability Officer at Just Salad, 'The future of food is plant-based. We're thrilled to offer our guests an alternative to beef that's just as delicious yet significantly more eco-friendly.'
Just Salad has a history of making eco-conscious business choices, including the introduction of reusable bowls and a commitment to send zero waste to landfills by 2025.
When it came to choosing a plant-based option for its menu, Lee noted, 'We spent a lot of time weighing different plant-based options for our menu, and Beyond simply offers the most versatile and best tasting product out there.'
