On September 11, 2019, a gruesome discovery was made at Jamboni Estate in Eldoret town, where a female police constable was found lying in a pool of blood in her own home.
According to Uasin Gishu Police Commander Johnstone Ipara, Robina Moraa, who worked in Eldoret East division, had stab wounds on her chest and stomach.
Police suspect that Moraa was stabbed by her boyfriend, who is now being sought over the killing.
Neighbours are shaken and scared that such a heinous crime was committed in their neighbourhood, with some speculating that the suspected attacker might have been known to Moraa, as they did not hear any cries for help from her house.
A photo of the police officer has emerged online.
