The Silicone Stableford Challenge golf series, sponsored by Crown Paints, is set to take place in Kericho, a tea-growing county in Kenya, on September 12, 2019.

The event, which is part of a countrywide series, will feature a field of 89 players at the Kericho Golf Club course, which is expected to be playing long due to the recent rains in the region.

The series, which has already held events in Nakuru, Kiambu, Nanyuki, Vet Lab, Railway, Sigona, and Royal, will be used by Crown Paints to showcase their products.

Over 181 golfers participated in the previous tournament, held at Royal Nairobi Golf Club, demonstrating the series' popularity.

Following the Kericho event, the series will move to Njoro, Muthaiga, Nyanza, and finally Kitale.

Meanwhile, at the Thika Greens Golf Resort, the Kenya Army Commanders Cup, sponsored by Gaps Constructions and Engineering Limited, is underway. The event is part of a series organized by the Kenya Defence Forces Golfing Association (KDFGA).

Other major events in the series include the Airforce Commanders and the Kenya Navy Commanders trophy, as well as the CDF trophy.
