Published on September 12, 2019, gospel singer Weezdom is mourning the loss of his mother, who passed away after a long battle with cervical cancer.
According to Weezdom, his stepmother was diagnosed with cervical cancer one year ago, at stage 3, and had been hospitalized at the Texas Cancer Centre until her passing.
"1 Year Ago my Step Mom was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer already at Stage 3. Since then, she’s been in a lot of pain and Hospitalized at Texas Cancer Centre Until Jana When She Left Us???? Rest In Peace MOM I love You???" Weezdom shared on social media.
Cervical cancer is a type of cancer that occurs in the cells of the cervix, the lower part of the uterus that connects to the vagina.
It is caused by various strains of the human papillomavirus (HPV), a sexually transmitted infection, and can be prevented by screening tests and receiving a vaccine that protects against HPV infection, as advised by mayoclinic.
