The Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) league is heating up, with the sixth leg set to take place at Nanyuki Stadium on October 22, 2018.
Although some teams will be missing key players who are part of the Malkia Strikers squad at the World Cup in Japan, KVF Fixtures Secretary Ishmael Chege assured that their absence will not affect the competition.
"The absence of two or three players who are in the national team will not affect teams' performance in league matches and their matches cannot be rescheduled," Chege said.
Defending champions General Service Unit (GSU) are looking to maintain their top spot in the league table, but they face tough opposition from teams like Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) and Kenya Prisons.
GSU will start their campaign against KDF, who are optimistic of getting maximum points. "We have trained well and ready for competition," said KDF head coach Alfred Chedatum.
