Published on September 11, 2019, Jennifer Aniston's portrayal of Alex Levy in 'The Morning Show' was a result of extensive research and preparation.

She immersed herself in the world of morning television by visiting the set of 'Good Morning America' and observing the habits of its host, Diane Sawyer. Aniston even studied Sawyer's coffee and caffeine habits, which included a mix of Coca-Cola, Red Bull, and coffee.

For her character, Alex Levy, Aniston carefully selected books, furniture, and clothing to create a sense of authenticity. She chose books like '100 Years of Bauhaus' and 'Blink' by Malcolm Gladwell, and even picked out the sconces in Alex's apartment, opting for French modern style.

One of the most memorable moments in the show is when Alex Levy has a heated argument with her daughter. In a pivotal scene, Alex says, 'I practically broke my vagina with that big head of yours,' using an expletive before 'vagina' to describe childbirth.

According to Jennifer Aniston, she initially disagreed with the showrunner, Kerry Ehrin, over whether Alex would say such a phrase. However, after two weeks of discussion, Aniston finally agreed to try the line, and it came out perfectly on the first take.

When asked if she thought Alex would say such a phrase, Aniston replied, 'Yes, but, mind you, I'm playing a person who's a mother. I've never shoved anything through my vagina, you know what I mean? So it's sort of like understanding where it comes from, you know, like tapping into all of the mothers that I know, and understanding how something that hysterical and vulnerable and raw is possible.'
