On September 10, 2019, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson filled in for Kevin Hart on Kelly Clarkson's new talk show, providing an update on his friend's condition after a car accident.
Johnson, who has starred alongside Hart in films like Central Intelligence and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, expressed his relief that Hart was 'strapped in nicely to his car seat' during the accident.
"Thankfully he was strapped in nicely to his car seat," Johnson said. "That's real love."
The pair will also appear together in the upcoming Jumanji: The Next Level.
Johnson told Clarkson that he's wishing his friend a quick recovery and that he's glad that all things considered, it seems like he'll be OK.
"I love the guy, he's one of my best friends," he said. "I mean, thank God, it could've been a lot worse. So, he's a lucky man, and he knows it too. I wish him the best and a speedy recovery and I'm gonna see him soon."
