As Bachelor in Paradise season six nears its end, fans are eager to see which couples will make it to the altar. However, one couple's limited screen time has left viewers scratching their heads: Chris Bukowski and Katie Morton.
According to Women's Health, the couple's lack of airtime was not due to a lack of chemistry or drama, but rather Chris's illness during filming.
"Chris got really sick in the middle of filming," Wells Adams, the show's bartender, revealed in an interview with Women's Health. "He got a stomach bug, so he had to go and get fluids, and when that happens, you don't want to shove someone out in the hot sun all day."
As a result, medics insisted that Chris stay indoors and keep cool until his fever came down, creating literal distance between him and Katie.
"He just wasn't feeling well for a lot of the shoot," Wells explained. "Case closed... at least until the reunion show."
Despite their limited screen time, fans can catch up with Chris and Katie on the latest episode of Bachelor in Paradise, airing tonight at 8 p.m. on ABC.
