As a podiatrist and foot surgeon at Manhattan Specialty Care in New York City, I've come a long way since my anxious days. In the summer of 2015, I'd get nervous talking to hospital staff or giving presentations. But it wasn't until the fall of 2016 that I found my companion, Berger, a 75-pound Bernedoodle, and my life changed forever.

With Berger by my side, I slowly began to overcome my fear of social interactions. Our neighborhood walks became opportunities to meet new people and form connections. I even started socializing with other pet owners at the dog park.

But what I didn't expect was that Berger would bring me my soulmate. In 2017, I met Tyler, a phys ed teacher, at a bar. Berger immediately bonded with him, and I knew I had found someone special.

Although I initially declined Tyler's offer for a second date, he persisted, and we eventually started a relationship. Looking back, I realize that Berger had recognized Tyler's kind and gentle nature long before I did.

Today, I'm grateful for the companionship of Berger and Tyler. They've helped me overcome my social anxiety and find love. As we prepare for our wedding next year, with Berger as the ring bearer, I know that I've found my perfect match.
