Ken Okoth's Ex-Lover Backs Mariga as Jubilee Candidate in Kibra By-Election ¶

Anne Muthoni Thumbi, the ex-lover of late Ken Okoth, has endorsed McDonald Mariga as Jubilee's candidate in the upcoming Kibra by-election.
Thumbi, who is among the Jubilee party's top campaigners in the Kibra constituency, was seen accompanying Mariga to the IEBC offices on September 10, where they submitted their nomination papers.
However, their efforts were thwarted after the IEBC confirmed that Mariga's name was missing from the voters' register.
Mariga will know his fate on September 17, after lodging an appeal against the IEBC's decision.
So far, 23 candidates have been cleared by the IEBC, while seven others have been disqualified for failing to meet the required procedures.
