Apple Unveils New iPhones ¶
On September 10, 2019, Apple unveiled its new set of iPhones, including the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max, during its annual launch event.
The iPhone 11 features a dual-camera system with 12 MP wide and ultra-wide lenses, a faster A13 Bionic chip, and a more water-resistant design. The phone is available in six colors, including yellow, purple, and Product RED, and starts at $699.
The iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max boast improved cameras, faster processors, and enhanced displays. The Pro models feature a triple-camera system with 4x optical zoom, a Super Retina XDR display, and a longer battery life. The Pro will start at $999, and the Pro Max at $1099.
Apple has also released a new version of the Apple Watch, a new iPad, and its streaming service Apple TV+, which starts at $4.99 per month. Additionally, the company launched a new gaming service, Apple Arcade, priced at $5 a month.
According to Apple, the iPhone 11 Pro is better at low-power battery work, bringing up to four hours more battery life than the iPhone XS. The Pro Max lasts five hours longer, and for charging, Apple will include an 18W faster adapter in the box for faster charging.
The new iPhones feature improved cameras, including a Night Mode that automatically switches on when it's dark enough, and a new portrait effect called High Key Mono. The cameras also offer Deep Fusion, which uses machine learning to shoot nine images before you press the shutter, selecting the best output.
Apple has stated that the dual-camera system on the iPhone 11 will be useful for a wide range of use cases, from tight spaces to broad sweeping landscapes.
