On August 16, 2019, Winnie Wairimu Mugo presented herself as an advocate of Winnie W Mugo & Company Advocates at Kikuyu township in Kiambu County, despite not being authorized to do so.
Appearing before Kikuyu Senior Resident Magistrate Z.W Gichana, Mugo denied the charges and was released on a cash bail of Ksh.100,000.
The case will be mentioned on September 24, 2019, when the hearing date will also be fixed.
