On September 10, 2019, Tottenham midfielder Giovani Lo Celso suffered a hip injury while playing for Argentina in a friendly match against Chile in Los Angeles.
Lo Celso, 23, was forced to withdraw from the Argentina squad and return to his Premier League club for treatment.
According to Tottenham's website, Lo Celso 'sustained the injury during his national team's match against Chile' and will undergo a period of rehabilitation.
He is expected to return to training with the first team towards the end of October.
Lo Celso's injury is a fresh blow to Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino, who is struggling to find consistency in his team's performances this season.
Lo Celso has made three substitute appearances since joining Tottenham on a season-long loan from Real Betis in August.
