Published on September 10, 2019, the English Football Association (FA) fined Everton defender Yerry Mina £10,000 ($12,300) and issued a warning for breaching betting regulations.

The centre back appeared in a video promoting the betting company Betjuego in his native Colombia, which is prohibited under FA rules.

According to the FA, Mina admitted to a misconduct charge, and the fine is a result of his actions.

After a debut Premier League season marred by injuries, Mina has played all four league games in the new campaign and helped the Merseyside club keep two clean sheets.

Everton, currently sixth in the standings, will travel to Bournemouth on Sunday.
