SportPesa Reaffirms Commitment to Supporting Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards ¶

Kenyan football clubs Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards have received a boost after SportPesa, a leading sports betting company, reaffirmed its commitment to supporting them.
According to a statement from SportPesa, the company will continue to provide financial support to the two clubs, which are among the top teams in the Kenyan Premier League.
Earlier this year, SportPesa had announced that it would be withdrawing its sponsorship from the clubs due to challenges in the betting industry. However, the company has now reversed its decision and has pledged to continue supporting the clubs.
"We will continue to support Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards as we have always done," said Jean Kariuki, SportPesa's Head of Communications.
"We are committed to supporting the growth of football in Kenya and will continue to work with the clubs to achieve our goals," he added.
It is worth noting that SportPesa had faced challenges in the past due to a dispute with the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) over tax payments. However, the company has now resolved the issue and has been cleared to continue operating in Kenya.
With this reaffirmation of commitment, Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards can now focus on their football activities without worrying about the financial support they receive from SportPesa.
