September 10, 2019, marked a significant moment for Saumu Mbuvi, as she confirmed her relationship with Lamu Senator Anwar Loitiptipa about a month prior.

During an exclusive interview with Kiss100, Saumu shared her thoughts on their relationship, particularly how they met.

She emphasized the importance of dating someone who knows you well, citing her previous relationships where she didn't have that luxury.

Interestingly, Saumu revealed that Anwar used to listen to her drama-filled relationships, which became their starting point.

"He was my best friend for a while. He encouraged me to be my best. We met when I was in Mombasa. Doing my own thing. We started talking as friends and all that time he used to advise me politically and he was my back support. I used to share all my problems with him. Our relationship was so strong and even now he tells me to stop reading negative comments."

As she spoke, her face lit up, showcasing the strength and affirmation she's gained from their relationship. This newfound happiness has inspired her to start an initiative to help girls go to school in Lamu, where Anwar is from.

Her passion stems from her own experience of struggling with sanitary issues in high school, and she aims to provide sanitary towels to those in need.

Additionally, Saumu plans to revive her club business in Lamu, a venture she previously attempted with her ex but ultimately parted ways over.

With her future plans unfolding, it's possible that she might be heading down the aisle with Anwar Loitiptipa.
