Preparations for the third edition of the I&N Partners Classic golf tournament are complete, with the event scheduled for October 9–10 at Sigona Golf Club. Organized by Attorneys Africa, the two-day competition has grown since its 2024 debut, attracting over 250 participants from diverse sectors. David Njoroge, a partner at Attorneys Africa, emphasized the organizers' commitment to expanding the tournament, stating plans to solidify it as an annual series. The event, held during Customer Service Week, provides clients with a platform to showcase services while facilitating face-to-face engagement, according to the organizers.
The tournament will feature a mix of professional and amateur golfers, with at least 15 elite players competing for cash prizes separate from the broader field. C.J. Wangai, Sigona Golf Club’s resident pro and a top Kenyan golfer, confirmed his readiness for the event. Habil Waswani, Kenya Airways’ acting CEO and a regular participant, praised the tournament’s third consecutive year, calling it a valuable networking initiative. Last year’s winners—Zipporah Gichigi (overall), Lewis Muriithi (Division II), and Trevor Kimenye (guest category)—will aim to defend their titles this year.
The I&N Partners Classic has become a key gathering for business leaders, clients, and partners, blending sports with relationship-building. Njoroge highlighted the event’s role in celebrating customer loyalty, noting that the 2024 edition saw record participation. With its focus on service and collaboration, the tournament reflects broader efforts to strengthen professional networks in Kenya. Organizers stress that the event’s success hinges on meticulous planning, ensuring a memorable experience for attendees during the Mazingira Day weekend.
The tournament’s structure underscores its dual purpose: competitive golf and corporate engagement. While professional golfers vie for prizes, the event also serves as a platform for businesses to connect with clients. This year’s edition, described as the most ambitious yet, aims to elevate the standard of such corporate-sponsored sporting events in the region. With continued support from participants and organizers, the I&N Partners Classic is positioned to remain a cornerstone of Kenya’s business and sports calendar.
