On Tuesday, police in Kasarani arrested two suspects linked to a carjacking syndicate operating at Thika Road Mall (TRM) and its surrounding areas.

According to the police, the suspects posed as gym members to gain access to the changing rooms, where they would steal car keys and drive away with the vehicles.

As one of the suspects attempted to leave the mall, they were unable to produce the parking chip coin, prompting the guards to alert the police, who recovered the vehicle.

Police also discovered a collection of car keys suspected to have been used in the thefts and believe the suspects may be linked to thefts of laptops, phones, and other items from TRM.

Two vehicles, including one with registration No. KCU 277C, were recovered at Ngumba estate on Thika Road, and the suspects are currently being held at Kasarani Police station while investigations continue.
