On September 10, 2019, Kenyan musician Jackson Makini, popularly known as Prezzo, announced his bid for the Kibra parliamentary seat.

Prezzo, who has settled on the Wiper Party, was unveiled by former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Kalonzo, Prezzo's move does not signal the end of the NASA coalition, and he is confident that the musician will win the November 7 by-election.

Prezzo, accompanied by tens of youth from Kibra, promised to implement development projects if elected.
