On September 10, 2019, Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka announced his party's candidate for the Kibra by-elections, which will be held on November 7, 2019.
Unveiling celebrity rapper CMB Prezzo, whose real name is Jackson Makini, Kalonzo expressed confidence that the musician would win the election.
Prezzo, accompanied by tens of youth from Kibra, promised to implement development projects if elected.
The Wiper Party candidate will face off against ODM's Bernard Imran Okoth, Jubilee's McDonald Mariga, Democratic Party candidate Dorn Anaclet, Ford Kenya's Butichi Khamisi, and others in the highly contested election.
Despite unveiling Prezzo as the Wiper Party candidate, Kalonzo insisted that the move does not signal the end of the NASA coalition.
