Old Mutual Investment Group (OMIG) joined the Makerere Endowment Fund (MakEF) at the 6th edition of the Makerere University Marathon, themed "Run the Hills for the Future," to mobilize resources for the university’s Disability Support Unit (DSU). The event, held in 2026, sought to strengthen the DSU’s capacity to address barriers such as accessibility, learning materials, mobility, and assistive support for students with disabilities. OMIG’s involvement aligns with its broader mission of fostering long-term social and economic progress through inclusive initiatives. Mr. Zac Kisesi, Managing Director of Old Mutual Investment Group Uganda, emphasized that the partnership reflects the organization’s commitment to creating value through inclusion, stating, "By helping create a more inclusive learning environment for students with disabilities, we are investing in people and in the opportunities that can shape their future."
