They engaged terrorists, rescuing three victims, and later recovered a fourth during follow-up operations. Meanwhile, in Tsafe, troops conducting a road patrol near Kwanoni encountered gunfire and clashed with militants withdrawing through high ground. Military sources stated the attackers fled the scene, with troops also rescuing six individuals from a vehicle that had lost control after the skirmish. The affected vehicle was towed to restore traffic flow.
The military reported that terrorists had set a Sharon vehicle ablaze during an abduction attempt, but occupants escaped before the fire spread. Troops also recovered six people from another vehicle that veered off the road due to gunfire. In a separate operation, four suspected terrorists were arrested in Yobe State, highlighting the multi-front efforts to combat insurgency in the North West.
