Busia County has witnessed an unusual turn of events as two women, Lilian Weta and Millicent Auma, have decided to swap husbands amidst family wrangles.

According to Lilian, her husband brought another woman to their matrimonial home in Butula about a month ago, forcing her to seek solace elsewhere.

"He first lied to me that his cousin from Bungoma was coming to visit and so I should prepare some food and a place for her to sleep. Moments later, a lady walked in and told me that I was in her space and that my matrimonial home now belonged to her," Lilian said.

Feeling betrayed, Lilian decided to go for the other woman's husband, Christopher Abwire, in Matayos constituency, and the two started a relationship.

Abwire's wife had left their home at night a month ago and has not returned since, leading Abwire to welcome Lilian and her children into his home.

It's now two weeks since Lilian Weta married Christopher Abwire, and the two say they harbor no regrets.

On the other hand, Kevin Barasa is now married to Millicent Auma.
