Published on September 10, 2019, a bizarre incident in Busia County has left the nation stunned as two women, Lilian Weta and Millicent Auma, decided to swap husbands.

The decision was reportedly made due to unending family wrangles, with both women citing domestic disputes as the reason for their actions.

Lilian Weta, 28, claimed that her husband brought another woman to their matrimonial home in Butula about a month ago, forcing her to seek solace elsewhere.

"He first lied to me that his cousin from Bungoma was coming to visit and so I should prepare some food and a place for her to sleep. Moments later, a lady walked in and told me that I was in her space and that my matrimonial home now belonged to her," Lilian said.

Feeling betrayed, Lilian decided to go for the other woman's husband, Christopher Abwire, in Matayos constituency, and the two started a relationship.

Abwire's wife, Millicent Auma, had left their home at night a month ago and had not returned since. Abwire told her to go home, get her things, and the children, and come stay with him and Lilian.

It's now two weeks since Lilian Weta married Christopher Abwire, and the two say they harbor no regrets. On the other hand, Kevin Barasa is now married to Millicent Auma.
