De Bruyne's impressive performance saw him become the first player in history to provide three assists in a European qualifier.
Belgium's first goal came in the 10th minute, courtesy of Romelu Lukaku, who slotted home from De Bruyne's pass in the 18-yard box.

With just 10 minutes played, De Bruyne found space and passed the ball to Lukaku, who scored his 49th international strike.
De Bruyne's second assist came in the 24th minute, as he drilled in a low cross to Thomas Vermaelen, who scored Belgium's second goal.
De Bruyne completed his hat-trick of assists in the 32nd minute, finding Toby Alderweireld, who headed home from a corner to make it 3-0.
De Bruyne then wrapped up a five-star performance eight minutes from time, striking a first-time shot to make it 4-0.
Belgium now have 18 points from six matches, remaining top of the group, while Scotland dropped to fifth position with six points from the same number of matches.
