Published on September 10, 2019, Nairobi Stima head coach Leonard Odipo expressed confidence in his team's ability to continue their impressive form for the rest of the season.

Odipo's charges secured their second consecutive win by defeating Kenya Police 2-1 at Karuturi Grounds over the weekend. Victor Ochami and Caleb Olilo were on target again as Stima maintained their top spot at the helm of the 2019-20 National Super League with six points and 11 goals.

Speaking to Standard Sports, Odipo stated that his team's goal is to finish at the top of the league, and he believes they will get stronger as the season continues.

“We have started the season very well and to score 11 goals in two games is very impressive. The team is still bonding with the new signings still finding their feet with the rest of the squad but I believe they will get even better,” he said.

Ushuru also maintained their perfect start with a 2-0 win over AP Bomet, while Talanta was held in a barren draw by Vihiga United. Bidco United defeated hosts Migori Youth 2-0 to go joint second, and Mount Kenya United registered their first win of the season in a 2-1 win over Coast Stima.
