Published on September 9, 2019, reports have emerged that David De Gea may be on his way out of Manchester United, with Juventus reportedly favourites to land the 28-year-old goalkeeper.
According to sources, De Gea has told his close friends that he will not accept United's £350,000-per-week contract offer, and will instead leave the club on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Jan Oblak, the Slovenian goalkeeper, is reportedly in line to replace De Gea at Manchester United if he leaves the club for Juventus next summer. Oblak has developed into one of the best goalkeepers in the world since joining Atletico Madrid in 2014.
With a impressive record of conceding just 96 goals and keeping 90 clean sheets in 156 appearances in La Liga, Oblak has made 385 saves at a percentage of 79.8. His impressive form has made him a target for several top clubs, including Juventus.
As reported by SunSport and The Express, Juventus are favourites to land De Gea and will begin talks with the shot-stopper early next year. The Italian club has a history of signing top players who were free agents, including Dani Alves, Andrea Pirlo, Paul Pogba, Adrien Rabiot, and Aaron Ramsey.
